"Edgar pierced my daughter’s ear cartilage. Located in Skin Illustrations tattoo shop across from main JoCo Library. Very friendly, made lots of jokes and small talk, putting daughter and me at ease which reduces anxiety and pain. Ensured exact spot she wanted, using a small hoop to demonstrate. Less costly yet far more Hygienic/Safe/experienced than at the mall: $40 for cartilage piercing included small surgical steel post, I didn’t ask the price of ear lobes or having two at once, but I would recommend Edgar over the mall for standard ear piercing too. Provides after care instructions (inexpensive products available at any drugstore) and help if any reactions or problems occur later. Walk in 12-8 pm.
Bring photo ID; ages 16&17 must also bring a parent with ID, & a notarized permission form. Bank next door will notarize Edgar’s/Skin Illustrations’ forms for free; if you miss that bank’s biz hours, CapFed customers can access a notary til 7pm at their Shawnee Target & Prairie village hen house locations.
If bringing a young child along, I suggest headphones for them, as Edgar’s vocab is anti-establishment. 😉"
